Stuart Wiggins GPD: Must See London Destinations

Stuart Wiggins GPD has spent the last several years living in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. While he has enjoyed his time in Dubai enormously, he is now turning his focus to returning home to London, England. Stuart Wiggins GPD spent some time thinking about what he really loves most about London. He will soon have time to see all of his favorite things when he returns home in the next twelve months.

Westminster Abbey:  known as the coronation church of England. A masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Seventeen British monarchs are laid to rest here as well as many well loved poets and writers.
The National Gallery: home to an impressive collection of paintings from 1250-1900. Sure to inspire are works by DaVinci, Rembrandt, Turner, Boticelli, and Van Gogh to name a few.
The Tate Modern:  conveniently picks up at 1900 where the National Gallery leaves off. Continue your tour of the history of art through the current century. Features works by Dali, Pollack, Warhol, and Matisse.
The London Eye: an observation wheel. The eye offers sweeping views of up to 25 miles. It is very modern and fun.
Hyde Park: over 350 acres of pristine landscape. It is a wonderful place for a stroll, a picnic, or an afternoon of people watching.
The Churchill War Rooms:  the underground control headquarters of Britain's high command during WWII. A must see for history buffs.
The Victoria and Albert Museum:  a unique collection of pieces from around the world. Holds an impressive collection of Middle Eastern art.

Stuart Wiggins GPD enthusiastically recommends the destinations on this list. He also notes that a lot of the appeal of London is in the local markets and neighborhood pubs. He is looking forward to his return to London. Stuart Wiggins GPD is also looking forward to an order of fish and chips!
